I like Dr Jason Fung’s ideas too.

I am fascinated by this line of investigation. I've wondered about it with the overweight individuals I know.

All of the cancer in my family has been with the people who were obese and had been for more than a decade before they got sick. They weren't just slightly overweight. They had an extra 30+ pounds and would be considered sedentary. That they also used tobacco was another risk factor. One of them didn't smoke but chewed tobacco for years. He got cancer in the lower back area and suffered for months with extreme pain before passing away.

Another of my relatives never smoked, but she was extremely inactive and overweight. She developed cancer that wasn't detected until it was too late because she was very large, and the tumor was unnoticeable with her size.
